Fishing and angling in Carmarthenshire rivers and lakes.

Rod-License
Anyone aged 12 or over who fishes for salmon, trout, freshwater
fish or eels in Wales (& England) must have an Environment
Agency rod fishing license.
You should always have your rod license with you when you are
fishing, and you must provide it when asked to do so by an Environment
Agency officer or by any other authorised person (including another
licensed angler). Failure to do so could result in prosecution.
Please read your license carefully and abide by its instructions.
Note in particular the expiry date of your license.
There are two types of license available:
1) Non-migratory Trout & Coarse Fish.
2) Salmon & Sea Trout. Entitling the holder to also fish
for non-migratory trout & coarse fish.
Rod licenses are available from all 17,000 post offices throughout
Wales & England. They are also available from Environment Agency
offices, and at certain fisheries, including several that will
sell a license at times when post offices may be closed.
If you see damage or danger to the natural environment: pollution,
poaching, fish in distress, flooding incidents (for reporting flooding
only), or illegal dumping, please do not ignore it. Report it by
phoning the Environment Agency on the emergency hotline telephone
number.
