Set
in beautiful rural Carmarthenshire countryside in the foothills
of the Black Mountain, Glynhir offers the visitor all the
tranquillity you would expect from an 18th Century Huguenot
Estate, with its elegant Mansion House, walled gardens, parkland
and spectacular 30 foot waterfall.
The
Mansion House offers full or half board and bed and breakfast,
with its spacious bedrooms and elegant drawing room complete
with a welcoming log fire, baby grand piano and television.
Tea and coffee is available at all times.
Grouped
around the farmyard with its peacocks, ducks, geese and chickens
are the barns, stables and Estate cottages which are now converted
into self-catering accommodation.
The
area around the Estate is bursting with activities:
walking; horse riding; fishing; painting; and golf; or if
you prefer you can relax and enjoy your favourite book in
the peace of our conservatory and gardens.
The
Estate is ideally situated for visiting the National Botanic
Gardens of Wales, gardens of Aberglasney, the castles of Dinefwr
and Carreg Cennen and the Roman Gold Mines.
Owned and run by Katy
and Carole Jenkins, you will be sure of a very warm welcome
and enjoyable stay.
