Golfing holiday or short break – play golf in Carmarthenshire!
We
are fortunate in being a mere half a mile or so from the Glynhir
Golf Course – no relation of ours though once upon
a time the land was part of the Estate.
The Club was formed nearly 100 years ago and was originally located
in Llandeilo. In 1967 the Club moved to its present location and
became the Glynhir Golf Club. The Course is located at the foot
of the Black Mountain and in addition to this naturally beautiful
landscape there is an abundance of ‘wildlife’, otters,
badgers, foxes and a wide variety of birds including red kites,
herons and buzzards all of which combine to make a visit to the
Glynhir Golf Club a memorable and enjoyable experience.
- The course designed by Charles Hawtree has been described as
a ‘little gem’. It is over 6000 meters in length with
a par of 69
- The course presents a challenge to all golfers, from single
handicap to high handicap beginners.
- The Clubhouse provides the full range of refreshments, catering
and locker room.
- The club is fortunate to have the services of an excellent
P.G.A. professional offering a full range of services from a well-stocked
shop to golfing tuition.
The Glynhir Estate is able to offer reduced rate green fees throughout
the year to its guests.
